The one to see first

ClipSight™: it reads a groom from a photo

Take the after photo like you always do. Tap "Which blade was this?" and it names the style, the length, and the most likely blade or comb, with a second choice and a confidence, per-area notes for body, legs, head, feet and tail, and anything that could be better. Tell it what you really used and it learns your shop. On a photo the customer sent, the same button says "How to get it."

  • Weeks since the last groom are filled in so regrowth is accounted for
  • Confirmed blades for this dog and this breed at your shop feed the next guess
  • One tap turns the answer into the dog's grooming instructions with the photo as the example
  • "Last time on this dog: #5F, lamb, 7 weeks ago" before you pick up the clippers
What grooming gets

Everything, in the words you'd use.

Grooming is $49 a month on Base, unlimited staff. Growth (payroll, time clock, retail, loyalty) adds $40. Ultimate (1099s, exports, pay simulator) adds $70.

The calendar

A column per groomer and a day that runs itself.

01
  • Drag-and-drop with snap-to-slot moves, a running-late clock, and Today, Week and Month views with expected against collected
  • Standing appointments: every 6 weeks with Sarah at 9, booked a year out and topped up nightly
  • Skills as a hard filter: a service that needs hand stripping only offers groomers who do it; groomers can decline breeds, cats, puppies or dogs over a weight
  • Smart durations that learn how long each dog really takes
  • Waitlist that texts the next client the moment a spot opens, and a "tighten the day" button that closes gaps
  • Multi-dog families booked together and split across groomers

Online booking

Customers book themselves; you approve or auto-accept.

02
  • Returning customers found by phone and last name; services that fit the dog's size, coat and species
  • "Any groomer" that respects skills and refusals, deposits when you require them, terms signed online, vaccine upload
  • Booking links and QR codes for Google, Instagram, Facebook and your website, with counts of where bookings come from
  • Abandoned-booking nudges and "we miss you" texts on a schedule you set
  • Customer account page: move or cancel inside your notice window, vaccines, receipts, report cards, balance due

The groomer's phone

My day, in order, with everything they need to know.

03
  • The day's dogs with handling notes, pet codes and groom history; start, ready and finished with one tap
  • Before and after photos; the after photo goes in the pickup text
  • Designed report cards with seasonal themes, filled in by tapping or by voice
  • The customer's desired-cut photo and the dog's grooming instructions, right there before the first cut
  • Push notifications when a dog checks in or a booking comes in; works offline for the day's schedule

Texting and photos

From your own number, on your own schedule.

04
  • Two-way texting from your own number: confirmations, reminders (reply C to confirm), ready-for-pickup with the after photo, receipts, campaigns and birthday texts, with STOP and quiet hours handled. 300 texts a month included.
  • Photos customers text to your number land on the dog's record, tagged Current, Desired cut, Another dog they like, or a skin concern, so "I want this!" is on file before the dog arrives.
  • Review requests a few hours after pickup: five stars unlocks your Google and Yelp links, anything lower stays private

Checkout and money

One tap at the counter, and the books stay right.

05
  • Cards on file, a countertop reader, cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, gift cards, store credit and split tenders, with Stripe underneath
  • Turn the screen for the tip; tips go to the groomers who did the work by their share of the ticket
  • Rebook discount at checkout, discount codes that decide who absorbs the discount, loyalty points, memberships
  • Wrong visit or over-charged? Undo the checkout or refund part of a payment with a manager code; commissions follow
  • Retail with barcodes and purchase orders, gift cards, a cash drawer that knows whether the groomer kept the cash tip

Staff, payroll and taxes

Commission, hourly or both, done right.

06
  • Payroll on a payment-received basis: commission, hourly or both, overtime rules by state, a time clock with PINs, tips split by each groomer's share of the service dollars, pay stubs with year-to-date, QuickBooks and Gusto or ADP exports.
  • Year-end 1099-NEC forms and an e-file CSV, with W-9s collected digitally and tax IDs stored encrypted.
  • Time off requests, offboarding and rehire with history kept, optional two-factor per login
  • Groomers see only their own column, or everyone's: you decide

The rest of the shop

Everything that used to be a separate subscription.

07
  • The Assistant: press "How do I", type or say it, and it walks you through the task on your own screen with a spotlight and a voice. A daily brief before you open and a weekly read on the business.
  • VaxFetch™: clients text a photo of their vaccine records and it logs every shot and expiration date on the right dog, saves the vet's clinic, phone and email, and emails the vet for the update when a shot comes due before the next visit. No staff time. On Growth and Ultimate.
  • A free website at yourshop.rockdogpro.com (or your own domain), built from your services, hours, photos and reviews, with a Book now button that goes straight to your booking page. Four looks, edit the words, publish.
  • Waivers signed on the tablet, by text, at the lobby kiosk or online; vaccine rules per service
  • Import from MoeGo, Gingr, 123Pet, Pawfinity, Square or a spreadsheet, years of notes included
  • Two-factor sign-in, an admin lock at the front desk, a recycle bin with Undo, nightly off-site backups, alerts when a charge or a text fails, a manager code for refunds and undoing a checkout, and a full export of everything, any time.
Questions

Straight answers.

What is the best software for a dog grooming salon?

The best grooming software is the one built around the dog on the table: breeds, coats, skills, handling notes, groom history, the after photo, and a checkout that pays the right groomer. Rock Dog Pro was built inside a working grooming shop in Little Rock, Arkansas, and includes all of that plus texting from your own number, payroll and 1099s for $49 a month with unlimited staff.

Can it tell me what blade was used from a photo?

Yes. ClipSight™ looks at a photo, allows for the weeks since the groom, and names the style, the coat length and the most likely blade or comb, with a second choice and a confidence. You confirm what was really used and it learns your shop's results. It works on after photos, on photos customers text in, and on any photo on the dog's record. It's included in the Growth and Ultimate plans and runs on Assistant credits (Ultimate includes 500 a month).

Does it do standing appointments?

Yes. Book "every 6 weeks with Sarah at 9 am" once and it's on the calendar a year out, same groomer, same time, topped up nightly. If a slot is taken it grabs the nearest opening. Change, pause or stop it from the client record.

How does texting work?

Every text goes out from a number registered in your shop's name: confirmations, reminders, ready-for-pickup with the after photo, report cards, two-way messages and campaigns. Customers can text photos back and they land on the dog's record. 300 texts a month are included; bigger packages are sized to your shop.

Can I move over from MoeGo?

Yes. Export your clients and pets from MoeGo and Rock Dog Pro imports them with notes, vaccines and visit history. Once you have all your files from MoeGo, upload and onboarding takes less than 3 hours. Gingr, 123Pet, Pawfinity, Square and spreadsheets work too.

Run a real week on it.

30 days free. No card required. Once you have all your files from your old provider, upload and onboarding takes less than 3 hours.
